In the past two years, the hatchback trend has once again entered the car circle, and has been sought after and loved by many young people.
What is a hatchback? A hatchback is a form of car body design. Abroad, its name is Hatchback, which translates to tailgate, which is different from the trunk "lid". It means that in addition to the doors on the side of the body, there is also a vertical tailgate or a tilted tail window door at the rear to open the luggage compartment.
The hatchback was first born in 1958, but this concept was not proposed until about 1970. Before that, hatchbacks were usually called small station wagons.
1. Stylish and good-looking
The body design of the hatchback combines the beauty of lines and sports attributes, and this style is more in line with the aesthetics of young people.
2. Stronger storage capacity
Compared with conventional sedans, the vertical space of the hatchback trunk is relatively larger. Moreover, the rear seats of most hatchbacks are foldable, so that when there are no people sitting in the back row, the luggage compartment space will become larger. In addition, the tailgate of a hatchback can generally be opened together with the rear windshield, with a larger opening, which is convenient for large items to enter and exit, increasing practicality.
3. Better material selection
There is a steel structure partition between the passenger compartment and the luggage compartment of a conventional sedan, which has two purposes: one is to separate the space, and the other is to improve the strength of the body. The passenger compartment and luggage compartment of a hatchback are connected, and there is no partition in the middle. This means that the strength of the body structure needs to be enhanced by strengthening the C-pillar. Therefore, in terms of material selection, the steel used in hatchbacks is stronger and more solid.
